Series 1: 27 & 28 May
Series 2: 10 & 11June
We don’t dance—we fall upwards.
We surrender to gravity not to collapse,
but to rise into another version of ourselves.
This is what the wind does to tall grass.
This is what moonlight does to water.
This is the raw inheritance of being human.
The body never forgot.
It moves like nature does: wild, primal, and free.
-
A dance workshop, Falling Upwards, invites participants where the body becomes a vessel of ancient memory—weaving through the fabric of space and time, movement too wild for reason.
Over two days, we enter a space where movement becomes process—rooted in the imagery of nature, the rigor of contemporary theatre, and the emotional edge of untamed expression.
We’ll move at the intersection of Eastern somatic wisdom and European postmodern performance.
Expect intensity. Stillness. Laughter. Strangeness. Expect your body to surprise you.
Through techniques drawn from Gaga, Butoh, and contemporary partnering, we awaken the intuitive body—the one that trusts, touches, trembles, creates. Where gesture becomes archetype,
and presence becomes ritual. You may find yourself dancing stories you didn’t know were yours.

"We treat the body as a precious sensual instrument. That’s why I often draw inspiration from ancient culture—it is both a naive and passionate way of seeing the world. Authentic music, atmosphere creation, working with sound, and bold emotional challenges—this is what we are planning for this laboratory.”
