The Sacred Inner Life - Kundalini Yoga Masterclass with Shadi Enbashi

  • SEVA Wellbeing SEVA Experience Dubai United Arab Emirates (map)

The first Kundalini Yoga Masterclass examined what we place at the center of our lives.

The second investigates the extraordinary life that exists within us, much of which we have never learned to encounter, much less inhabit.

There is a peculiar difference between having a life and inhabiting it. We can be entirely occupied with living, making decisions, fulfilling responsibilities, pursuing ambitions, and still remain distant from the actual experience of being alive.

Imagination is more than the invention of what does not exist. It is also our capacity to question what we have come to accept as inevitable. It allows us to recognize that our circumstances, however convincing, are not the complete measure of who we are. Yet imagination requires room. A mind continually occupied with familiar interpretations leaves little opportunity for anything unfamiliar to enter.

The Sacred Inner Life is an extended Kundalini Yoga Masterclass devoted to cultivating that room. Drawing on contemplative philosophy and the experiential traditions of Kundalini Yoga, we explore the relationship between thought and awareness, the authority we give our familiar narratives, and the possibility of meeting experience before turning it into another explanation of ourselves.

Through teaching, breathwork, kriya, mantra and sustained meditation, we move between inquiry and direct experience, allowing the practice the time and depth it deserves. The evening concludes with extended relaxation and deep gong integration.

The intention is to reconsider our relationship with the ordinary experience of being. To discover whether the life we are so occupied with managing is also a life we are fully participating in.
