Our kundalini activations and chanting sessions are about holding space to connect in harmony with one another and our purpose/path in this lifetime. Facilitated by our founder, Eda Gungor, who began her yoga journey over 12 years ago and has been offering classes and gatherings for the past 5 years, these experiences are synced with the moon cycles and planetary movements.
When we harmonize ourselves with these natural cycles, we feel more alive and in tune. Nature has a beautiful way of showing us how to live with grace. Nature's cycles are a great guide for our own: from planting the seeds of our intentions to emergence, growth, action, expansion, fulfillment, letting go, and finally releasing. We can find more balance and joy in life when we consider that, like every other element of the natural world, there are times for rest and times to bloom.
On New Moons, we enter our own energy field and learn how to make it work for ourselves. It’s an auspicious time to set intentions and launch new projects. It is a beginning of a cycle and a cosmic reset. We connect with the lunar energies to ground ourselves and feel a sense of direction.
This new Moon is in Aries, which is a good time to commit to personal goals that express the positive energies of the season. It’s time to take action – try something new and innovative, and go at it with gusto and confidence. Be assertive without being abrasive. Take charge of your life: start a brand new project, and discover your own personal courage.
This is a strong cycle under which to re-evaluate our relationship with ourselves. With this potent Aries energy, we have the chance to make important changes in our lives. It’s time to make some solid yet realistic plans and to set the stage for reaping the rewards from our new beginnings, as little as they may be, in approximately two weeks’ time after the Full Moon occurs.
Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, and thus a New Moon in Aries is especially ripe with opportunity for new beginnings. We might consider acting on a constructive impulse and following a hunch, or taking a risk.
Aries learn through experience and action, and we might treat ourselves to a little adventure now. It’s also a good cycle under which to discover the benefits of expressing ourselves with authenticity – expressing ourselves as we are, without putting on airs.
We might find ways to learn how to rely on ourselves and to be happy about doing so – it will go a long way towards finding inner happiness when we know that we can be self-sufficient without blaming others for not helping us out. It’s a time to revitalize ourselves through experiences that break the routine and that involve doing something new and fresh.
This New Moon occurs in the very first degree of Aries (and the zodiac), suggesting a particularly strong new beginning theme globally. Its alignment with Mercury adds a mental, communicative theme to this fresh start. Mars, the ruler of Aries, forms an out-of-sign square to the lunation, and while we’re ready to work hard and pace ourselves, we can be impulsive or premature.
This new moon in March always comes together with the equinox. The March Equinox is a sacred time as it represents balance and oneness. By having equal hours of day and night, we are reminded about the importance of finding balance and oneness in our own lives. The March Equinox also brings about the start of a new season and with this comes a distinct shift in energy. Mother Nature is always giving us clues as to where we should be focusing our energy, so tune in to her messages and see where you feel guided to go.
The Equinox reminds us that even though we may perceive light and dark as being separate, they really only exist because of each other. In fact, it is both light and dark that make up the whole - we need them both.
When we embrace this idea of wholeness or oneness, we are able to see things in a new way and really feel the connection of it all, as we start this new chapter in our lives.
Whatever has come your way over the last astrological year, it is important to embrace both the light and dark moments as points of growth and something to learn from.
The class consists of kundalini yoga, chanting, meditation, dancing, sound healing, breathwork, astrology, and more. Depending on the group size and the general level, we adjust and improvise - so be open to surprises :) The class will be followed by a potluck community breakfast at SEVA Table.
This is a donation-based class, meaning you give whatever you can/want. Donations are used every year to support certain schools and communities that are announced on our channels.
