A practical workshop led by SEVA Resident Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Alexey Pavlyukov.
A deeper exploration of the hips, mobility, and the path towards Padmasana.
Lotus posture is not simply a shape to arrive at. It is a relationship with the body, one that asks for patience, mobility, strength, awareness, and respect for its natural boundaries.
In this practical workshop, we’ll explore the movement and mobility needed to work towards Padmasana, combining intentional static postures with active movement.
We’ll work with both stillness and movement: creating space through longer-held positions, while building strength, control and mobility through active exploration. Together, these approaches create a more intelligent and embodied way of approaching Lotus posture.
Along the way, we’ll bring particular attention to the knees and ankles, understanding how alignment, stability and awareness can support the practice and help us move towards Lotus posture with greater care.
Come explore the hips, understand your body more deeply, and discover what becomes possible when we stop forcing the shape and start listening to the movement.
